BROTHERS…need I say more?

This couple was the cutest! They were so up for anything I asked and you could tell how in love they were and excited to welcome this new little one.

Maternity:

Newborn! Baby N arrived happy & healthy.

Had a crazy month there folks. I’ve been absent, for sure! But summer is here and we are moving forward! Lots of sessions and enjoying time with my girls. We recently returned from a wonderful vacation in Florida. We stay at Watercolor Resort and boy is it great for kids. We have vacationed there for 10 years now and it keeps getting better. You can bike everywhere and this year we were able to give the girls walkie talkies and turn them loose. They found a secret place for catching frogs, among other things. They are also obsessed with lizards, and would like to have several as pets. Some of my faves from our week:

Headed to Dallas today…got a couple sessions there and looking forward to hanging out with my sis. At last check-I had 112 fans on my facebook fan page! I really appreciate all of your support! I have been a little absent from blogging, so thought I would just post really quick the. cutest. baby I met today. This is just one of the literally thousands of images I took. His expressions, the faux-hawk…he is the whole package! Mr. R…it was a pleasure to meet you, little man!

So when we were on break, I did a little Valentine’s Day session…I just love Valentine’s Day. Something about all that pink and red in the middle of drab winter. I had these fun fabrics I wanted to try out as backdrops…I think it worked out well. These would be cute Valentines for the girls to take to class, no? But alas, they both wanted Valentines out of the box from Target. No one appreciates my art!!!! So I am posting them here for you to enjoy.

First session of the new year! And it is soooo refreshing to be caught up and already proofing and blogging this one. End of last year I was just. so. behind.

Little Miss P was born last January-this was her debut:

And 3 sessions later…here she is-1 YEAR OLD. Miss P loooooves her mommy. She did not want to be seperated for one second. Luckily-I had some wooden blocks and they were a hit!

It always amazes me how fast the time goes. One minute, it’s maternity images and super excited/nervous new parents-the next minute, a toddler running around. And we are looking at each other, like-didn’t we JUST do the newborn session? I love watching these babies grow up.

What to do with this crazy, black dog.  We got him almost 6 months ago-some days it feels like 6 years!  The chewed on crocs, my driver’s license with holes in it (I forsee a trip to the DMV!), children running in all directions as he comes bounding down the hall. But when he has a quiet moment-like in these pictures here-I realize that we really do love this dog.  Like war veterans, we have all been through so much together.  We watch American Idol on our bed while he lays all over us and snores.  The girls take turns feeding and brushing him;  in fact, they fight over it.  Just like toddlers-he won’t be little forever.  In 5 years he will laze around the house and we will miss our insane, active dog.  So I am trying to just enjoy it!  Here’s what I captured during a few brief, quiet minutes with Buddy.
