This is what happens when someone who is not crafty attempts to make something crafty.
My marketing guru Kristin from Brand Camp gave me this idea, to display at my local children’s museum benefit auction.
So I bought some lollipops.
And then I bought some pots.
And then I bought some florist styrofoam stuff from Michael’s (had to ask where foam was located in the store, as I don’t do much floral arranging)
Then I proceeded to force foam into said pots and to do this, break it into smaller pieces, which created a weird sort of dust all over, it’s probably asbestos.
And I got the lolly’s in there but it was kind of unstable.
So I pulled them all out.
Bought more foam.
Got some rocks from out front. Weighted it down. Then hot glued the foam in there.
Then replaced the lolly’s.
And here we go. 19 hours later. Voila!
So I am taking these to the museum tomorrow, and if these auction attendees do not take these stinking lollipops….well….let’s just say I might lose my mind.
