Project 52 | Week 12 | Food

Food, glorious food.  I wish I had something glamorous to photograph a la cover of Bon Appetit.  I wasn’t even cooking tonight-it was birthday dinner out for my 8 year old.  As I sat staring at my pantry I thought…pantry.  You can tell alot about a person by what’s in their pantry.  And so, I open up my pantry to you.

So what does this say about me.

-Clearly, I am not one of those organic moms.  Not that there’s anything wrong with that.  I buy easy mac.  And cheezits.  And lucky charms.

-I’m from the south.  I buy grits.  The only kind they sell here are Quaker instant but if you doctor them the right way, they are actually pretty good.  Not the Dixie Lily brand one can buy in Florida, but it works in a pinch.

-Those buns on the bottom are probably moldy.

-I like carbs.

-I also like girl scout cookies.  Note-Do Si Dos.  I already ate the 2 boxes of Samoas we had, Do Si Dos are all that’s left.

-Top Ramen.  What’s not to love for 30 cents.

-The flour and the muffin cups at the top probably give one the illusion that I bake.  Don’t be fooled.

What else can you find, folks?  It’s like Where’s Waldo.

Head on over to check out the next photog, Southeast Wyoming newborn, child, senior and family photographer, Kate!

Lisa, I love this. It reminds me of your pantry growing up on Founders Cove (as in Founding Father’s).
The only thing that is missing is the Frosted Strawberry Pop Tarts!!
Thanks for exposing your eating habits for the world to see!! 😉
    Love you!

Lisa you made me laugh with this post. It is perfect and great for food. I’ve thrown out lots of moldy buns. One thing I do now is put them in my fridge. They last longer. 🙂

Lisa – Great idea! My little one could live on easy mac…and he can fix it himself. Win-win! And the pressn’ seal? One of the modern wonders of the world right next to the internet, cell phones, and color tv. 🙂
