Project 52 | week 31 | summertime

This week’s theme is summertime. And I find this picture fitting as it was taken almost exactly one year ago. My girls with their BFF’s camping in the backyard. But the significance here…is about a week after this picture was taken, their friends moved away to Philly. And about a month after this picture was taken, my husband and I separated. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. And here we are, a year later, and tomorrow we are headed to NYC and then to Philly to see those friends. I never thought I would make it to this point much less be taking my girls on a trip like this. So for that I am very thankful, and proud of myself.
And I will always remember last summer…a time of so many changes.

    This post is so genuine. I love the picture, but I also love your words. I know from experience how strong you have to be in those situations. It’s not easy! Have so much fun in NY.
